When we were selected for @lightthehoan’s Shine a Lite program sponsored by @millerlite, we saw an opportunity to create something meaningful.
At Harmonic Harvest, our mission is to foster social sustainability through community connection; and we were excited to further our mission through this event of Illuminating Our Future.
On June 16th, 2026 we invited our community to dedicate light bulbs on the Hoan Bridge to youth in Milwaukee who have never seen the skyline or experienced Lake Michigan. While our city is known for its beauty, many young people have not had the chance to see it from this perspective.
Through this initiative, 55 kids, with 100 guests in total, were able to experience an evening on the Milwaukee River as the Hoan Bridge illuminated bulbs. Each child receiving a representative bulb on the bridge in their name. This special night was both meaningful and impactful, leaving a postive imprint on the Milwaukee community.
Any gathering of Mke community members is extremely valuable to me, our family, and the future of our communities in general. Meeting other Mke people and seeing my kids connect with new city kids, even if it was for one night, was so touching and beautiful.
We met a new family who has two daughters, my own children’s ages, and we will visit their mom’s business, which is close to our house!
