Harmonic Highlights – June 2025“Strawberry Moon” |
|
“June’s full moon—typically the last full Moon of spring or the first of summer—has traditionally been called the Strawberry Moon. While strawberries certainly are a reddish-pink color and are roundish in shape, the origin of the name has nothing to do with the Moon’s hue or appearance. This “Strawberry Moon” name has been used by Native American Algonquian tribes that live in the northeastern United States as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that are ready to be gathered.” – Read more: Almanac.com |

Dogs of Downtown: Moshi the Great |
|
Last month, our HH HQ community support dog and unofficial mascot, Moshi, was featured in the “Dogs of Downtown” section of MKEDogPark.com! |
|
|
Excerpt from the article:
“Meet Moshi in our latest Dogs of Downtown feature! A four-year-old toy Goldendoodle originally from Kiln, Mississippi, Moshi now lives in Milwaukee and is enjoying all four seasons, especially snow zoomies!
Moshi is a proud community support dog for Harmonic Harvest and a certified Canine Good Citizen. From his humble beginnings, Moshi’s career has blossomed having modeled for brands like Gap, Disney, and Doggy Parton, thanks to SportPet Designs, LLC.” |

| Visit Milwaukee 2025 Annual Member Meeting |
| A few weeks ago, Jenna had the pleasure of representing Harmonic Harvest at our first @visitmilwaukee Annual Meeting!
Held at American Family Field @amfamfield, the event was a celebration of all the reasons Milwaukee continues to grow as a vibrant destination—not just locally, but on a national and global level. |

It was inspiring to learn about the future of tourism across our city and state, and how cultural development, community connection, and bold storytelling are shaping Milwaukee’s presence on the map. Tourism plays a vital role in driving our local economy, uplifting small businesses, and showcasing the creativity and diversity that makes this city so special. |
|
|
From meeting new neighbors and enjoying local food to connecting with mascots and learning about exciting projects underway—this gathering reminded us why we’re proud to call Milwaukee home.
We’re proud to now be members of VISIT Milwaukee, and excited for the ways Harmonic Harvest can continue contributing to Milwaukee’s cultural and creative landscape. |

Event & Meeting Space Rentals: Coming Soon! |
| As we are still developing and grounding our venue/facility rental offerings, we are grateful to have partners who have been willing up help us refine this process.
One of those partners is Light the Hoan, which we have developed a great relationship with since the very beginning of HH’s journey (see our IG recaps here & here).
Erika Smith, the Executive Director of LTH, reached out looking for a venue to hold a planning session with her lighting design partners and we were happy to offer our space to them! |

It was so exciting to get an inside scoop on just how much work and planning goes into lighting the Hoan bridge every night – kudos to Erika for being the one-woman show behind it all! |
| We are looking forward to hosting more groups such as these and others in the HQ. More details to come on what we have to offer and how you can book our spaces coming very soon!
In the meantime, feel free to email hello@harmonicharvest.org with any inquires and someone from our team will follow up. |

| BBBS “Art of Pairing” Fundraising Event Recap |
| We’re so grateful to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee for inviting Harmonic Harvest to support The Art of Pairing fundraiser.
Thank you to the incredible artists who contributed, to those who attended, donated, and purchased artwork, to the vendors and donors who made the evening possible, and to our Harmonic Harvest team—especially HH Weaver Britni, who led the day-to-day operations with care and commitment. Well done! |

Under our Community Connections program, we’ve been able to offer various forms of support to charitable gatherings—from consulting and connecting resources to contributing financially and helping curate meaningful experiences. For this event, our role focused on art curation and fundraising strategy—an incredible opportunity for us to learn, grow, and experiment with a model that uplifts both artists and nonprofit missions.
While this helped us move closer to our vision of sustainable art fundraising, the true purpose was clear: supporting mentorship and helping young people thrive. BBBS Milwaukee has been creating life-changing connections for over 50 years, and we were honored to play even a small part in that. |
