Harmonic Highlights – August 2025“Sturgeon Moon” |
“The name Sturgeon Moon comes from the giant lake sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain; this native freshwater fish was readily caught during this part of summer and an important food staple for Native Americans who lived in the region. At one time, the lake sturgeon was quite abundant in late summer, though they are rarer today.” – Read more: Almanac.com |

HH x Maya Smart: Reading for Our Lives Book Drive |
Reading isn’t just a school subject—it’s a relationship, a ritual, a way we connect. It begins long before kindergarten, in lullabies, storytimes, and everyday conversations between caregiver and child. Just as plants need the right environment to flourish, children need language-rich homes and empowered caregivers to thrive as readers.
There are among many reasons why Harmonic Harvest is proud to partner with Maya in hosting this book drive. Not only is Maya a tremendous asset to our community and a great person to work with, this partnership also reflects our mission to grow community through connection, shared learning, and joyful collaboration. |

This collaboration with Maya directly reflects and supports our Harmonic Arts Initiative – a program that actively collaborates and showcases local artists, musicians, writers, and creators who use their talents to positively impact and enrich the community.
It also aligns with our Community Connections program, which is designed to support and collaborate with organizations and individuals in Wisconsin, offering assistance, volunteer opportunities, resources, and coordination that enhance social connections and community engagement with said entities.
We are thrilled to launch this initiative alongside such an incredible partner, united in our mission to help build strong foundations for the next generation. |

Join our community book drive to put Reading for Our Lives into the hands of families through trusted local partners, and help raise thriving readers from the very beginning. |

Board Member Update: Thank You Melanie! |
A heartfelt thank you to Melanie Ricks, who has been a guiding light in Harmonic Harvest’s journey as a member of our Board of Directors and has known about this mission since the early stages. Even after stepping down, she remains a cherished part of the HH family.
Melanie, known for her work as a Digital Reporter for the Milwaukee Bucks and On‑Air Host at 101.7 The Truth, has uplifted Harmonic Harvest in countless ways. From traveling with Jenna to Milan to meet with some our global partners, to connecting us with community organizations, she has given us time, insight, and heart we will always appreciate.

Recap: Summer Gallery Night 2025 |
Thank you to everyone who stopped by Harmonic Harvest for the unveiling of “Reaching New Heights” by Autumn Lundberg. |
From The Art of Pairing to The Art of Transformation, we’ve watched this vision unfold through creativity, connection, and community!
What began as a curated fundraiser to raise support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, evolved into something even more symbolic. With each kite added to Autumn’s piece, a donation took flight. Now, her work has transformed into “Reaching New Heights” — a vibrant representation of individuality, upliftment, and collective impact.
This is more than a painting. It’s a reflection of what happens when we come together — when we embrace uniqueness and believe in the beauty of becoming. |
It was beautiful to see our space full of people connecting, exploring, shopping, and enjoying the intentional details — from Autumn’s powerful collection, to our HQ GM, Christina’s incredible charcuterie spread — every element came together in harmony.
Thank you, Autumn, for being you — for leaning fully into your artistry and creating something so meaningful that honors the uniqueness of every individual and encourages us all to embrace it. |
The Beauty Lies in the Details – be sure to visit HH HQ to see the completed “Reaching New Heights” art piece up close while it is still on display! |

Santo y Sombra: Model Casting Call |
For the first time, we hosted a model casting call for four local designers and were honored to witness this creative process unfold in our HQ. It was powerful to see how Milwaukee’s modeling community shows up for each other — sharing opportunities, building confidence, and supporting one another on their journeys. |
We are looking forward to hosting more groups such as these and others in the HQ. More details to come on what we have to offer and how you can book our spaces coming very soon!
In the meantime, feel free to email hello@harmonicharvest.org with any inquires and someone from our team will follow up. |

| Our Harmonic Harvest atelier just got a little brighter — we’ve officially hung “The Heartbeat of Our Tapestry” in the space!
This is the first of many tapestries. It was “born” in Milwaukee on 414 Day 2024, and revealed during our One Year Anniversary Gala. We’ve been dreaming of the day it would finally live in its home, and the wait was worth it.
Hanging it on the glass wall of our conference room means one side faces the inner circle of conversation, while the other side looks out over the atelier, where hands and stories continue to weave our future. |

Thank you to our Atelier Architect, Alyssa Neff for coordinating every detail to get it installed. This dual-sided tapestry is interwoven with our signature weave technique, designed to reflect the interconnected fabric of our communities. It was important to us that there be no “front” or “back” — every perspective matters. |
| Our atelier is a work in progress, but with every stitch, every piece hung, and every silver lining added — it’s coming to life one day at a time. Continue to stay tuned here for more exciting updates about our atelier and 3rd floor space and how you can be involved! |

RTW: UNCOM “Walk for Wellness” 2025 |
The United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee (UNCOM) held its 17th annual Walk for Wellness on July 23, 2025, with hundreds of kids from partnering Milwaukee neighborhood centers. The event included a walk, art projects, flag football, an obstacle course, and lunch, promoting healthy habits and providing a safe space for youth. |
Leading up to this gathering, Harmonic Harvest brought Renaissance Threads workshops to six (of 8 total) incredible UNCOM member agencies:
Silver Spring Neighborhood Center City on a Hill Neighborhood House of Milwaukee COA Youth and Family Center Neu-Life Community Development Northcott Neighborhood House
Each organization brought their heart, their stories, and their creative spark — and we showcased their artwork during the Walk for Wellness, alongside a live workshop inviting so even more participants to add their stories to the tapestry. |
