Harmonic Highlights – April 2025“Pink Moon” |
|
“While the name “Pink Moon” might suggest a rosy-colored Moon, the reality is a bit less magical. The name comes from the early spring bloom of a wildflower native to eastern North America: Phlox subulata, commonly known as creeping phlox or moss phlox. This flower, often called “moss pink,” was in full bloom around April’s full Moon. Thanks to this seasonal connection, the April full Moon became known as the Pink Moon!– Read more: Almanac.com |

HH is incredibly grateful to artist and photographer Samuel Allen (@stannydidit) for donating his powerful piece, Angela’s Nappiest Act (Photography, 36×48, 2023), to Harmonic Harvest!
Sam was one of the first photographers I (Jenna) came across when I moved to Milwaukee—thanks to Gener8tor Art (@gener8torart). I officially had the pleasure of meeting him during our soft opening, when he stopped by the HH HQ to experience our pop-up gallery with Nemo @nemogreater for Gallery Night.
I was beyond moved when Sam generously donated this piece to live in our headquarters. I’m honored to receive it and thrilled to have his work as part of our space, which is now hanging up in our third floor office! |
| This space on the 3rd floor is ideal but our furniture is not. We are all happily enjoying this phase of building and the start up component but will be looking for support to really transform this part of the HQ in to an efficient and ideal functional workspace!
If you know how to help, please contact hello@harmonicharvest.org and if you’d like to donate, you can on our website or by clicking the buttons below. |
